The Bristol Megascreen

The Bristol Megascreen at Bristol Aquarium

The venue for Forbidden Worlds Film Festival is the Bristol Megascreen - formerly the Bristol IMAX cinema.

The screen originally opened in 2000 as a feature of Wildwalk (part of the At-Bristol science centre) and is now used as an events space for the Bristol Aquarium.

The 300 seater auditorium has been revamped with Dolby surround sound, brand new carpet, and a new lens for the Christie projector to accommodate the 19x15m screen, making it the second largest screen in the South West, just behind IMAX Plymouth.

When attending the festival, please use the Anchor Road entrance (as seen in the picture on the left).

To find out more about the Bristol Megascreen and what else is being shown there, visit the Bristol Aquarium website.
